How to Help

Attend a social or fundraising event
Come along to the next Coffee Event - we do Mornings and Afternoons, these are free and open to everyone, bring younger children along too. Enter a team at the Quiz night in March (Date to be confirmed). You don't need to know any other parents, just come along and meet new people or bring your partner or another group of friends, everyone is welcome. One thing we can say is that you will meet new people and leave the event having made new friends.

Support fundraising initiatives
Do you have a practical skill? Could you spare some time to do some Photocopying or do you have Printing, Marketing, IT or Technical skills that we could use? Can you make cakes, biscuits or buns? Are you any good at woodwork or do you shop on-line? If the answer is yes to any of these questions that you can help the PTA.  Send in some cakes for a cake sale or one of the fetes or bazaars, buy a school diary or cook book or even go shopping on-line via our shop and earn pages, earn money for the school without even trying.

Use our Shop and Earn pages to go on-line shopping
Donate to the school without leaving the comfort of your chair. All you have to do is click here and you will be taken to our Shop and Earn pages, click the retailer that you want to shop from and a proportion of your purchase price is donated back to the school. We have links to many of the major on-line retailers such as Amazon, Asda, Dixons, Expedia, ITunes, Play.com, Toys R Us and Waterstones along with many others. If you have any ideas for retailer we may have missed then email us at info@owlsmoorpta.org.uk

Volunteer at PTA events
You could sell drinks or sweets or help make hotdogs at the school disco, come to one of the coffee events or offer to give a talk about something you are passionate about or maybe help organise a pamper evening, bingo or quiz night. Why not offer to run a stall at the Christmas Bazaar or at the Circus on May 1st. You could get your children involved too. Whatever it is, evey little counts and is appreciated.

Ask your Employer
Why not see if your employer would be willing to donate a prize for the raffles and auctions we run throughout the year or can help by donating some office supplies or even doing some photocopying for us. Many employers offer a Charity matching programme or will donate to an individuals nominated charity, the employee normally has to help directly with an event. The PTA is a registered charity (Charity Number 281965).

Provide new ideas
If you have any new ideas for raising funds or just for getting together and having a good time then please let us know. We are always on the look out for new things to try.
